Happy Marriage
Some experts in UK are of the opinion that happy marriage is almost impossible. According to them, "The secret to a happy marriage for men is choosing a wife who is smarter and at least five years younger than you."

Pandit Prasun Banerjee was one of the foremost disciples of Ustaad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan, and was hailed as the torchbearer of the Patiala-Kasur Gayaki immortalized by Ustaadji. It was the Ustaad's personal wish to teach Prasun, and the result was the so-called "Prasun-flavour". To listeners, it was more of a new 'ang', bearing a touch of silken and fine, and those who heard it once could not forget it for the rest of their lives.

About the gharana.
Meera Banerjee (Chatterjee) was the empress of Patiala Gayaki. Ustaad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan had said that, “when Meera sang, it was pristinely pure as the very soul of all creations.” At a mere age of thirteen, she was selected by the A.I.R, and by the middle of 1950’s, several of her discs came out, becoming immensely popular. She toured several European countries as a member of the cultural delegation sent by the Government of India in 1954. Her glorious performances abroad were honoured in India by the President and the Prime Minister through a special ceremony at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
I am fortunate to have met her, and look forward for more whenever I visit home.

Parthosarothy is one of the finest musicians in India embodying the true heritage of Hindustani raagadri music. He is among the dearest students of Pandit Ravi Shankar. BBC mentions him as one of the most gifted musicians playing today. I was lucky to play host to him during June-09.
